I've been a bit distracted with life and sat down at my
local cafe and opened the membership and was really happy to see there were
new videos. Let me say, I came for the learning to draw part BUT, all the "mindset
stuff" Is the real reason I will keep coming back. These insights that Charlie gives

I joined the membership because I watched Charlie's videos on YouTube, and he seemed to know a thing or two about drawing. I carefully weighed my options before I decided to sign up. I needed a push, a strong shove to get me knee-deep into drawing. I had been trying to learn just from watching YouTubers and finding tutorials, but it was too hard. I needed communication, a community and a teacher. That's why I joined the membership. And hey, I told myself if it didn't work out I'd only have lost $$. But now I'm very happy about my choice, because this membership is the push I needed to go in the right direction.

I joined because I felt unsure and was afraid of drawing more than one character. But during the journey, I learned a lot and was able to identify my weak points, which were the reason for my struggle. During the months, I got better and was motivated by all the other artists who started out and by all the helpful critiques that were provided—in streams or in the feedback area. As a result of this journey, I now have an idea of where to start planning out more complex group drawings, how to analyze poses, and how to achieve a flow. I will challenge myself during November to draw another group illustration to practice poses as well as to get used to it.
So, in short, the feedback during the journey was what I considered most valuable. Without it, I wouldn't have grown.
